How to write your blog post in 7 steps. We often state that we are excellent bloggers. Although most good writers are good editors, it is more likely that their initial drafts were far from excellent.
So here is your way of being an excellent editor of your work and people think that you are an excellent writer.
Okay, so it’s not technically part of the writing method. However, what you plan to say before you start writing can make the method of writing much easier. It is so easy to initially create a paragraph and later to set up whole paragraphs and create one.
I usually start by observing the material that I am writing. I most often write down the points I want to say in the blog and organize them into one structure, so I’ll just continue from one statement to another and take the reader on a journey.
Everything is analytical and logical at every level.
But once I have my points to really cover, I will switch to being artistic and because now I don’t have to think about what to write in a blog and I just follow the structure that I have previously Is noted.
Whenever I write content, sometimes a brand new plan can pop into my head. Once this happens, I take a step back and see if it will work in the structure I created. If it can, I will add it to my blog and start writing. And if it does not, I make a note of it (if I will use it during future posts) and get to the writing.
Step 2. Let your post sit for a moment
There are 2 hemispheres in our brain. The right person behaves with creativity and imagination and we use it when we are in our writing flow. However, our left hemisphere is more analytical and logical which is necessary for the editing process. The blog.
(Whenever you are writing, try to edit anytime and you start feeling frustrated. This is the result of both sides of your brain fighting with each other.)
But it takes a little time to shift your thinking from the artistic aspect of your brain to the analytical aspect. So once you finish writing your post, let it sit for a moment before you start editing your blog. Give yourself some time for 3-4 hours and in that break do not think about your blog and think again. Keep in mind one thing, don’t take a big break because you may lose interest with that blog.
Step 3. Look at the big picture
You have let your post sit for a small amount, and currently, you are able to write a blog. Before you dive into the main points, you should raise these questions to yourself from the ‘big picture’ perspective about your post and start editing your post until you are satisfied with your writing. Would have been
Does this make any sense?
Is there a benefit for my readers? You will feel that you have just written it so that one thing comes out of your chest.
Does this post have the power to change the lives of my readers in any way?
Is this ‘soulful’ enough? Perhaps it wishes for a little depth, another example, or perhaps some links to read in addition to my post.
Am I too repetitive? Should I combine my many ideas to get rid of recurrence?
Are my thoughts in the right order? Do they flow logically? This is the point where creating your own structure before you start writing.
Have I moved on a tangent or attached data that does not fit the context? This is often the reason why it is smart to make your posts sit for a small amount and save you a lot of time.
Step 4. Aim at removing unnecessary baggage
No matter how well you have written in your post, chances are that you will be able to cut words, sentences, or perhaps paragraphs, while not missing any great stuff.
So trim the fat, and keep the meat.
Do you take a few paragraphs to learn about your post? You should really hook your reader within the opening paragraph, so try and edit those gap paragraphs into one strong paragraph that quickly gets to the purpose.
Does your conclusion fit your content? Just start reducing it so that it stays on your readers’ minds for a long time until they finish reading your blog.
Are there any sentences that don’t add any useful information? Start finishing them.
Step 5. Observe key points
By now you have checked the overall structure of your post, and have removed huge amounts of data further. Currently, it is time to inspect your post – line by line, and even by word.
Unfortunately, you are most likely in words that your brain can improve for you as you are studying. You would love to see it with your own eyes.
One way to try and do this is often to use someone else’s help or some software. I usually seek the help of another person to browse through what I have written and try to solve any of their issues. However, if I can’t find another person to browse it with, I’ll print a duplicate, slowly browse it by sentence, and resolve any issues I may encounter with a red pen. Feels or I use a grammar application to correct all mistakes.
Finally, I will see what I have seen in WordPress by touching the preview button to see what it will look like after publishing.
Step 6. SEO the post
You should always write for your readers instead of search engines. However, before I hit the publication, I’m confident that the words will sort individuals into Google to find my post. So I try to weave many titles, gap paragraphs and maybe even universal resource locators of those words and I provide some internal links and some external links that relate to my posts. Remember to add relevant tags and focus the keyphrase in your post before publishing the post.
Step 7. Publish your post
You should positively take time to publish your posts before editing them. However, don’t be too skeptical about the post, just hit ‘Publish’.
Because it will never be excellent. You can return any issues discovered later and make sure that you promote your post on other social media platforms so that more people can see your post and it can reach a new audience.
