It is a disorder that affects people’s mood and makes them depressed and lonely. Depression also makes it difficult for people to enjoy and enjoy things. They lack interest in the things they loved.

Symptoms:

  • Feeling sad, guilty, worthless or frustrated.

  • Getting too much or enough sleep.
  • Having trouble concentrating.

Types of depression:

Atypical depression: It can be classified as heaviness in limbs, relationship issues, overeating and overselling.

Postpartum: It is seen in new mothers. It is characterized by a feeling of disconnected and sometimes hurting the child.
Event: It is a type of depression that arises from life-changing events. Occasionally loss of job or death of a close family member.

Premenstrual dysphoric: It occurs in the latter part of menstruation. This prevents the person from functioning normally.

The sad: Seasonal affective disorder, mainly in winter season and due to lack of sunlight. People who are sensitive to small amounts of light.

Chief depression: They experience recurring episodes of depression throughout their lives.

Bipolar Disorder: It is also known as Maniac Depressive Disorder. It alternates between mania and depression.

dysthymia: It can be described as a persistent low mood that lasts a long time.

Treatment of depression:

Mental health therapy: Talking to a therapist about negative thoughts and feelings can be helpful for someone with depression. Therapy also helps in combating the symptoms.

Medicine: Sometimes medicine can help the brain to fix the problems created by depression. It can make us happy.

If you think you may be depressed. Tell a parent or a trusted adult. They will be able to get you the help you may need. If you ever have thoughts about hurting yourself, let someone know immediately. And if a friend ever tells you something like this, inform someone immediately..
